Meet Your Instructor, Melanie Lizotte B.A. M.ED.

Melanie Lizotte is a proud member of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Metis Nation of Alberta), the owner-director of CCIB-certified Indigenous-Owned Inspired Connections Consulting, and a CCIB certified Indigenous Cultural Awareness Trainer. Melanie holds a M.Ed. in Human Rights Policy Studies and Intercultural Education. She is an Advanced Trainer in Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neuro-Sequential Model of Education, and regularly delivers trauma-responsive professional development to educators for Indigenous Nations across Alberta and British Columbia. Previously, Melanie led a national Indigenous Relations program for a major infrastructure construction firm, crafting its Indigenous Engagement Policy and guiding the company through CCIB PAIR certification.
